Acute abdomen caused by multisystemic inflammatory syndrome after COVID-19 in two pediatric patients
Abstract
During the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) (COVID-19) endemic, a complex disease presentation called multisystemic inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) has been identified in children. This inflammatory condition, which affects many organs, puts pediatric surgeons in challenging situations when acute abdominal findings are involved in the clinical findings. In our article, we aim to share the course of two patients, aged 11 and 4.5, with whom we experienced similar difficulties in our clinic.
